Classroom Challenge 2019-2020

Details…

  • Classroom Challenge registration deadline is October 31st.  Late submissions will not be entered into drawings.

  • Classroom Challenge program completion deadline is March 27th. The classroom volunteer(s) must teach all the program lessons and submit verification form by this date. Programs that are not taught by a community or parent volunteer or completed by March 27th will not be entered into drawings.

    • Winners will be announced on April 3rd. Prizes will be awarded to the winning schools.

    • Prize qualifications are as follows:

      • Register 3 or more JA K-12 Classroom Programs to be entered into the $1,500 drawing.

      • Register 5 or more JA K-12 Classroom Programs to be entered into the $2,500 drawing.

      • Register 10 or more JA K-12 Classroom Programs to be entered into the $5,000 drawing.

      • Schools that qualify for the $2,500 drawing will also be entered into the $1,500 drawing. Schools that qualify for the $5,000 drawing will also be entered into the $2,500 and $1,500 drawings.

      • Once a school qualifies for the $5,000 drawing, every 5 additional classes registered will enter your school in the $5,000 once more.

        • 10 classes registered = 1 entry into $5,000 drawing (plus 1 entry into $2,500 drawing and 1 entry into $1,500 drawing)

        • 12 classes registered = 1 entry into $5,000 drawing (plus 1 entry into $2,500 drawing and 1 entry into $1,500 drawing)

        • 15 classes registered = 2 entries into $5,000 drawing (plus 1 entry into $2,500 drawing and 1 entry into $1,500 drawing)

        • 20 classes registered = 3 entries into $5,000 drawing (plus 1 entry into $2,500 drawing and 1 entry into $1,500 drawing)

RULES…

  • Classroom Challenge Programs must be taught entirely by a community or parent volunteer. Classroom Challenge participants are responsible for securing community or parent volunteer. Classroom Challenge volunteers must be trained by a Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan staff member prior to starting program lessons (training to be coordinated by Challenge participant and Junior Achievement).

  • JA Classroom Challenge excludes JA Finance Park, JA Journey 2 Jobs, and JA STEMworks!

Expectations…

  • Challenge participants must complete the Student Pre- and Post-Surveys.

  • Challenge participants must take photos of the program(s) in action and send them to Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan for distribution on our social media platforms (free publicity for you!).

  • Students in photos must have photo release or parent consent.

  • School participants can only win a maximum of one prize.

  • Challenge participants must secure their own community or parent volunteer to teach program lessons. (Student teachers can serve as community volunteer).

  • Community or parent volunteers must teach all the JA program lessons.

  • Challenge participants must complete the official Classroom Challenge Form (link below) to be entered into the drawings.
